Charity Ball to Procure Dialysis Machine
About Campaign
The event, which was held at the Omanye Hall of Labadi Beach Hotel, was just one effort by the Asaase Foundation to increase awareness, educate the public about kidney health and raise funds for dialysis machines.
The equipment will be donated to selected health facilities in Ghana to treat kidney disease patients.
Individuals from all walks of life, including the former first lady of Ghana Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, the musician Reggie Rockstone, the political strategist and chairman of Asaase Broadcasting Company (ABC) Ltd, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, members of the diplomatic corps and chief executives of corporate institutions graced the fundraising event.
Donation Details
Valuable items donated by sponsors, partners, friends and family were auctioned as part of the drive to raise funds to buy dialysis machines to serve hospitals in areas of great need.
The KGL Foundation made a generous contribution to the fundraising to promote kidney health. Support for the event also came from Colours in Africa, the multimedia artist Francis Y Brown, Afranie of Nekad Platinum Art, the Artists’ Alliance Gallery/Glover family, Heather Badger of Artivity, Heritage Pots, Jane’M Salon & Spa, Mansa Gold, Skin Gourmet and the Wellness Institute.

Asaase Kidney Care Campaign
Kidney disease is one of the major causes of death in the world. There are several factors for this including lifestyle, lack of public health education, lack of infrastructure and equipment. We are committed to ensuring kidney treatment is accessible for all kidney disease patients across the country by donating and installing dialysis machines, one deprived community at a time. Asaase Foundation has set up dialysis centres in 10 hospitals across 8 regions the country.
